Harley Panhead Foot Shifter Bracket & Splined Shaft (OEM, 1952-64). Very nice bracket and lever, in our view. Plate retains much of its original black paint finish, and the footboard tab has nice shape, not twisted or tweaked. All mount holes remain in very nice condition with no evidence of egging. And there are no cracks and no repairs.
Shaft has the correct inboard and outboard shaft ends, so this is clearly designed for the 1952-64 vintage where a separate toe and heal shifter were used. Lastly, the shift lever is SPLINED, which is often preferred.
However, both splined and smooth versions were common. A very nice, original bracket.
And we have no complaints, whatsoever. FITMENT NOTE : as indicated above, the included shift lever features SPLINED shaft ends. So splined to and heal shifter arms must be used.
